Why can I no longer select other forms of payment for Invoices?

Today I noticed on my square app I can no longer select other forms of payment when adding payment for an invoice. The option for me to add a check as a payment is gone. Called support and they said I have to now log into a chrome browser to do this. This is a deal breaker as it takes way more time. Seems like the company is trying to incentive card payments but it's ridiculous and I'll be looking for another processor if it's not brought back.

I never use the square app when recording other payments like cash/check etc.  I had to pull up the app to see.  I agree It is very odd that they removed the option for a check but left the cash option.  Its unfortunately above my pay grade as to why the would remove it.  Hopefully for businesses like yours that use the app more that they will bring it back in a future update.

We need a mark as paid option in the app desperately. It takes too much time to have to log into the desktop portal when I am using my square app daily.

I can agree. 

Curious, about how many invoices per day are you marking as cash/check?

Not a great deal but when I receive a check I like to mark it paid ASAP because I'll forget. They fixed it by the way!
