When I send an invoice, it is double charging sales tax. How can I fix this?

Not sure what I did, but now when I send an invoice, sales tax is appearing & charged twice in the itemized section. Anyone else experience this and ideas for what might be causing? I recently set up an online shop... prior to this, did not have any issues.

Hi @melgran.  I’m going to ask the obvious question first.  When you go to your dashboard and then go to Account & Settings -> Business Information -> Sales taxes, is your sales tax by any chance listed twice?  If so, just delete or disable one of them and that should fix it.

 

If not, then it sounds like you might have an internal account issue.  For those you’ll need to contact the Square Customer Success Team here.  They should be able to track it down for you.
