Is there a way to send a $0.00 invoice? We own a bakery and regularly give to charities. We need to be able to chart this in our invoice and show the comp. I've searched everywhere, but haven't found a solution.
I find it hard to believe that this is not a feature given so many businesses and situations having a need for it. If this truly is not a feature, I will genuinely begin considering switching over fully to QBO. Our invoicing is the only thing we do not do through QBO. But for what we're paying for square, this feature should be available.

Hi @Sibakery ,
Just chiming in here to echo what @JK_Fiber_Art stated. It isn't possible to send an invoice of $0. If you are using QB though, you can still account for that charitable donation there.
You do bring up an interesting side that I didn't really think about with paid and free versions. I can see that if you are using the free version of invoicing, then that is obvious why you can't send an invoice of $0. It's a relatively nice layout that Square is providing, but getting nothing in return for their effort. However, if you are on a paid version of invoicing, I actually think that is a great idea to allow at least 5 invoices to be sent with a $0 amount (at minimum) per month.

Square's minimum amount allowed for a charge/debit sale is $1. At least that's from the info I've found. Have looked into applying a discount (100%).

I have been having the same concerns since upgrading to the paid invoicing services. In talking to my accountant, she agrees this is an concern/issue. As a resolution we decided to reduce the invoice to $.01 via the “discount” line item; as having a penny invoice is considered immaterial and holds no real value to off the bookkeeping drastically enough to cause any real issue. Thoughts?

Question for you. About how many of these invoices with a $0 amount would you send a month? If its only a few have you considered keeping a template on your phone/laptop for the few that you would send and need a $0 amount?
