Gratuity on Square invoices isn't showing up as a tip on reports

We've started using invoices for our parties. We add an automatic 18% gratuity, however, when I run reports the amount of the invoice shows up in sales, but the gratuity isn't showing up as a tip on any square report. It's also not showing up as part of the sale (which it shouldn't) but it's like there's no trace of it accept on the paid invoice.

Hi @Mandy414,

I just want to ensure I'm on the same page with you here before proceeding with the next steps!

Typically, when you enable the option to add tips on invoices, it allows customers the choice to include a tip of up to 50% of the total invoice amount when making a payment. It's important to note that auto-gratuity is not considered a tip; rather, it functions as a service fee that is directed specifically to the staff. As a result, these two options are distinct and are reported separately for clarity in accounting and record-keeping. However, right now, the option to apply auto-gratuity to a sale is only available to Australian sellers using Square for Restaurants. With that being said, are you able to walk me through how you've added gratuity to your invoices?

Furthermore, is the goal here to give your customers the option to tip when paying invoices, or are you wanting to apply gratuity to your invoices? Additionally, are you generating and sending invoices directly from your app, or when logged in via the online Dashboard?

We'll keep a lookout for your response!
