Hey there, @Aim80. So, this is not exactly possible with Square Invoices currently. However I might have a possible workaround for you, though I’ll admit that even this workaround is not the best.
If you edit your invoice template, you’ll see a schedule setting at the top. Currently, it should be set to “Send immediately.” You could change this to “Send in 7 days.” This would give you time to get them your PDF, complete with the share link, etc.
Unfortunately, the drawback I see with this is that customers would then receive your Square invoice in 7 days, which may or may not be acceptable. In an ideal world, that setting would allow you to “Send in 1 day” or something shorter, but the reality is that it doesn’t for now.
That’s my possible workaround, and the only one that had any promise of the 3 or 4 that I started with. Sorry for that.
Otherwise, you can head to the Ideate Board and submit a feature request to the Invoices team. You could ask for a “Send Never” or “Send Manually” option, for example. Just remember that you should submit a feature request for one request at a time. Don’t try to ask for multiple things in one request. Also, it is highly advisable to thoroughly explain your situation in that request, just like you did in this post.
