Can I separate non-tax sales from my taxable sales for reports?
I am in California and I have a few retail stores that I make merchandise for. I do not charge them tax, as they collect it from their customers (as per California sales tax laws). Is there a way for me to mark their invoices for my end of year reports, so they show up separately than my taxable invoices?

Hi StitchinTime,
I'm no report expert however, you can export all of Transactions to a CSV file and use Excel to use the data any way you want. From your Square Account Dashboard, select Transactions, pick a date and Export. Just something to tinker with. I like using this feature because it will give you quite a bit of info. Perhaps another Community member has some thoughts on the various reports and maybe a way to mark or code your invoices to do what you have in mind.

Thank you, but that unfortunately doesn't show me if a transaction was tax exempt unless I missed something. All it does is show me total dollar amounts (sales, tax, fees ect). I tried already, but I appreciate the thought! 🙂
