Order Additional Square Debit Cards

Trying to order an additional debit card. The online article states:

To order additional debit cards from the Square Point of Sale app: 

  1. From the Square Point of Sale app, select Balance > Add new debit card > Get started.

I do not see that anywhere on the dashboard under balances, it only shows my primary card with no way to order more. Add new debit card is not an option.
The app or the POS doesn't even have "balances" as a menu option


How is this accomplished?

Hello @Robbybabyrob !

 

I think the steps to add a card have changed since the help article was published...

 

From the Web Dashboard:

Balance -> [location if needed]. You'll see your balance total and options to transfer. Below that, on the right column, you'll see your debit card listed. To the right of the Debit Cards line there's a blue +. Click that to start the additional card ordering process.

 

From the App/POS:

More -> Balance. Scroll down past the part where you can see your account and routing number. In the Checking section you'll see the Add new debit card line.

 

Please note that adding additional debit cards are limited to accounts that are currently using Square Banking. If your funds transfer to a brick and mortar bank instead of staying in the Square ecosystem you can't add a card to your account.

Thank you for the reply, but there seems to be no blue + next to my card, nor is there a "Balance" on my POS, I have attached screenshots

@Robbybabyrob  okay that's really odd. I would recommend contacting support then. It looks like a switch didn't get tripped on the back end of your account. If you mention to the rep that you're trying to order a second card for your account and can't, they should be able to fix things for you.

Are you following these steps from the Square Point of Sale app or your Square Dashboard?

 

Based on the screenshots above, it looks like you're trying from your Square Dashboard. Can you try the Square app instead?
