seperate service/tip options from items

Greetings,

I own a pet grooming salon and grooming supply business and have two issues with the square register options.  I've been using the monthly retailer added tracking service at an added cost.

For YEARS now I have been waiting for the system to simply let customers add a tip at check out that doesn't calculate off of other retail items they may want to purchase at the same time.  I believe this can be solved with a separate 'service' category and set the tip calculator from this chosen on the register. having to tell customers that the total % suggested tip is including the cost of the dog brush>>>>major pain in the rear.

when are you going to adjust this program for the service industry businesses.  its been nearly 10yrs I've been waiting. please fix

Hey there @Poodlz I appreciate you reaching out and providing your feedback on this request.

I understand how having the option to toggle tips on certain items or categories would make a seamless checkout process for the customer. I’ve gone ahead and changed the status of this feature request to “Open”. You provided a great assessment of the potential business use/need for something like this on our platform from a seller’s perspective. This is a useful tool for our Product Team to use as they build the move the need on this request. As more information becomes available, a Community moderator will come in and change the status letting all of the subscribed sellers know. We know it isn't easy waiting for something to be built out and appreciate your patience while we continue to monitor this request.
