Tiping Issues and Editing Tickets after closed

When is Square going to fix this huge issue for Appointment users? Requests go back years, and there is no response. People who use the appointments and pay on commissions need to be able to adjust the "sales attributed to" after closing the ticket. It is crucial for our reports.

Also, you need to get on with making tips for businesses that use appointments and retail to only calculate for services!!!!!! Also, make the tip percentage applicable for multiple providers to affect the sale amount.  This means that if one service provider #1 completes a service for $20, and service provider#2  does a service for $10, and the client tips 20% of the service’s total, then the tip should be split according to the amount of the service they provided.

$30 is the total

20% tip is $6

then the tip should be split like this

service provider #1 gets $4

service provider #2 gets $2

The spitting tips down the middle are CRAZY and not accurate, thus creating even more payroll issues for our business.

Hey @BHAUS.  Two questions, two answers.

First, regarding changing “sales attributed to.”  I’m not a betting man, but in this case I can state this without hesitation.  Square is NEVER, EVER going to allow us to change anything about a transaction once that transaction is closed  (except add a post-transaction tip Ala restaurants).  They have made that abundantly clear, and have even resisted other suggestions to give us post-transaction adjustments that preserve the original information.  I have been with Square over a decade now and this is one subject I am sure of.  Therefore it is critical for us to accept this fact and, if having the correct team member on the check is critical to our business, then we have to emphasize to our team that they need to be more careful, period.

As for the other items, those are feature requests.  If you want to get those noticed faster, then head over to the Ideate Board and submit feature requests.  Remember to submit only one request per post (you have at least two separate requests detailed above). You’re going to need to describe your situation and exactly how you’d want it to work.  Of course, you probably know since you have done beta tests that this only starts an evaluation process.  If they accept your suggestion, that would being the design, coding and testing process.  In other words, this is not a short-term thing.

Lastly, the Square App Marketplace already has third-party apps that do the kind of tip distributions that you are looking for.  You can head there and look for one that might work for you.  Yes, they will come with a monthly fee but it sounds like you really need this so that shouldn’t be too much of an issue, I wouldn’t think.

this was sent on a thread I made back in January that they were working on it, and it would take a few months. I keep asking, and NO ONE will respond to my requests

That’s an interesting response. And actually more than a little surprising given the history of this subject. Thanks for sharing.

well, they will not respond to it anymore, so I'm sure it wasn't true.
