Text Notification Customization

There have been a few comments in the community about this, but I don't see a designated feature request for it. 

 

We NEED to way to customize the wording in text notifications. I have forms that I would like to send to clients when they receive their confirmation text, but I also want it to sound like my language. I would also like to be able to customize automatic confirmations for first time guests that are different than current guests.

The cancellation text message that is automatically set is really bugging me. “Hi Name, Business Name has cancelled your appointment for 7/28 at 6:00 PM PDT. Visit https://squareup.com/u/### to book again or explore other ways of supporting us.”

 

Explore other ways of supporting us?? Why is that there?! 

Please allow users to customize text notifications, as stated above in the previous comments. The automated communication for the text notification is inefficient and not authentic. Clients and people booking will 1,000% look at their text messages before looking at their email for the notification response, therfore, making the customized emails an afterthought. Please update this feature to be more customizable on our end, thank you!

Please make customizing text messages a priority! My clients get the text message and then ignore the email they get. But the email contains important information about the upcoming appointment. If I could just include the appropriate links in the text reminder, that would solve the problem. 

Square won't do it. They do not update Square appointments with basic features. Want to customize text messages? NOPE!

Want to customize fields on booking? NOPE!!

Please accept the fact that Square is lame. Square treats appointment customers like garbage. They will probably ban me because they are so sensitive and spineless.

 

Think about switching away from Square appointments. I'm 40% towards moving away with new tools in place of Square appointments.

Yes we TOTALLY NEED customized messages to go out when an appointment is booked. That note section doesn't even work for outgoing text conformations, only for emails

.no one checks emails like that anymore- get with the present day times Square! I need to have a preset blurb about our cancelation policy. It's bad enough I am now giving my money to jot forms just to have consent forms created and sent out to customers if they choose to their phone via text or email so they can be filled out electronically before there appointment.  This is a very covid safe way of having clients drop off their dogs for grooming without spending so much time filling out paper form in small lobby.

Please give us the ability to customize the text messages being sent out to our clients. It would be nice to send some simple information with the appointment reminders. It is inconvenient to have to individually send the information when it could be sent automatically. I hope the policy is changed soon........ following the thread, it looks like it has been requested for years.

Hi there! 
I see that this request is still listed as 'New' but I submitted last July. 
Given that we cannot initiate messages to clients, we need this feature more than ever. 
Please please...when can we hope to see this?

@sayra This feature has been requested since at least 2017. What timeline can we expect this will be included or is this something that Square does not plan to implement?

This is a major factor that is making me consider competitors instead of using square. Squarespace Scheduling includes this feature plus other customisations and it is less expensive.

I also want this.  

 

If they can add this, and add waivers I will stop investigating using vagaro every quarter....  

 

Like literally - I only need square appointments to add 2 features to be competitive.
