Scheduling Appointments

Hey Square people!

 

Nail Salon owner here - I'm loving square appointments and have been using it for a while but it's missing quite a few features that I'd love to see if it would ever be a possibility to add the in the very near future.

 

1. Group bookings - For clients to be able to book multiple services at the same time with multiple staff members. 

2. Automatic non-refundable deposit - Instead of charging the full price up front or using the no show protection, it'd be nicer if we can just charge them a percentage of a service at the time of booking. I run into this problem a lot with no-show protection where the client doesn't show up and I try to charge them but their card declines. Happens 8x out of 10. It's very aggravating and I will not use the pay in full feature because nobody would ever pay full for something they have received. 

3. Allow each staff member to set their own "service time" - Some members may take longer to perform a service than another member and this feature would help out a lot and make more availability for clients when booking. 

4. Being able to set a limit of appointments for each service - If there are 4 pedicure chairs and 6 artists, and clients would be able to book for 6 pedicure at the same time when there are only 4 chairs. Also a problem we run into. Maybe a feature of some sort would be of great help.

 

I think that's all for now. Will post when I think of more.

Hello! I also would like to add some features that others may be interested in.

I'm a salon owner with multiple staff members, I would like to be able to:

 

1. Edit a clients online booking request before confirming their appointment. 

I.e. the stylist, date, time, or adding on services before confirming the appointment. That way the client and scheduled stylists are not receiving multiple unnecessary text messages. 

 

2. Having a seperate Tab for all requests to view instead of having to look through every stylists schedule to find the requests that need to be confirmed.

 

3. If a second stylist must redo a service on a client, to transfer that appointment from the 1st stylists to the one performing the redo and showing it on the reports tab, without having to refund the original amount then charging the client a second time. 

 

4. And last that the owner, ie ME, have control to change the employees name associated with the service performed on a client in the event a stylist forgot to log out and the service went under the wrong person's name.
