Changes I hope others would like to see

Hello! I also would like to add some features that others may be interested in.

I'm a salon owner with multiple staff members, I would like to be able to:

 

1. Edit a clients online booking request before confirming their appointment. 

I.e. the stylist, date, time, or adding on services before confirming the appointment. That way the client and scheduled stylists are not receiving multiple unnecessary text messages. 

 

2. Having a seperate Tab for all requests to view instead of having to look through every stylists schedule to find the requests that need to be confirmed.

 

3. If a second stylist must redo a service on a client, to transfer that appointment from the 1st stylists to the one performing the redo and showing it on the reports tab, without having to refund the original amount then charging the client a second time. 

 

4. And last that the owner, ie ME, have control to change the employees name associated with the service performed on a client in the event a stylist forgot to log out and the service went under the wrong person's name.

Hey @Rachel21piche.  Most of those seem like great feature requests to me.  You can submit formal requests to the Appointments team here.  Only put one request in each post/thread.  If you combine them, they probably won’t even be reviewed.

 

I’ll add one thing from my experiences over 11 years here.  A couple of your requests involve changing transactions after they are closed.  Feel free to submit those if you wish.  However, Square has always denied such requests.  They seem to have a policy of never allowing sellers to change closed transactions, except in the case of adding tips.  My suggestion for those (#3 and 4 above) is for you to make it very clear to employees that mistakes like closing a transaction to the wrong stylist are going to make extra work for you, and make things confusing for everyone since I doubt that Square will change their policy, here.  I, for one, have requested what I consider minor changes to closed transactions, and they’ve always rejected those.
