Online Booking: Is there a way to set a service to only be bookable on certain days or times?

I am the only service provider at my office. I have my online booking and services wide open for anyone to book within my working hours. I need a way to keep everything open except for several specific services I do not offer on Fridays without turning off availability for the remaining services. 
Is there a way to set a service to only be bookable on certain days or times? 

 

To clarify, I offer both consulting services and physical services Monday through Friday. On Friday, I only offer consulting services, so those need to remain available to book online. It is frustrating for me and the customer to always have to explain to them why I can not accept their booking request on Friday even though the schedule shows me as wide open (for consulting/admin services only, though).

Hey @CoachBeau.  The quickest and easiest way to do this — especially since you are a one-person operation — would be to set up two team members for yourself.  Have one of those be your availability for your consulting/admin services, and the other one to be your availability for your physical services.  Unless I’m missing something, that should give you exactly what you need for your online booking customers.  But, if I am missing something, feel free to clarify and I’ll give it another shot!

I do have other staff, just not bookable service providers in the same context. It poses a bit of an issue to create 'dummy' team members between HR, payroll, and insurance which are also all through Square and it would heavily complicate data and revenue tracking. 

 

So, in this case it would be advantageous for me to just keep the headache I already have than create several new ones. I just don't understand how they have not thought to implement a setting for a service to limit it to set days and times. I can't be the only service provider that is always available but not always with the same equipment or service offerings every day.

Katie, I have been with Square for 7 years and I can tell you that this feature request has been "under review" all seven years.  I simply do not understand how this feature has not been developed yet.  We should be able to limited services to specific days without having to create dummy staff members.  It truly is a headache.  After seven years of being told that a feature like this is in the works... truly, where is it in development?

I contacted support at Sq to see if this feature was available, before moving to Sq Appointments from another platform.  I was told it was.  I've just invested hours of time setting up Sq appointments and could not find this feature, leading to more online research - only to find I was apparently mislead. Without this specific feature Sq appointments is of no use to me.  I'm out!

I have a similar issue. As a barber, I'd like to charge a higher price for haircuts on Sunday, since it's traditionally my day off. I thought I found a solution by creating two service categories (one for Sunday and one for all other days) and then adjusting the availability, per Square's suggestion. I was sure I'd solved the problem, but when I go to book online to book a mock-appointment, the changes don't appear to have made any difference at all.

This seems like such a simple request that is being made by so many of Square's clients. It's disappointing this hasn't been corrected. Anyone I speak with in the tech space tells me this is a two-minute fix. For some reason this is just above the heads of the folks at Square, evidently. Would have loved an actual solution. Been with Square from their beginning, but it seems it's time to take my business elsewhere.

Right there with you. Square either comes up short on seemingly simple and practical solutions, or creates extra steps and bloat with overly complicated procedures.

They're losing me. my schedule and customer conflicts and complaints have been a lot higher ever since I’ve shifted my business to different services on different days.
