Issue with App Calendar showing payment complete when it's NOT PAID

I am having issues with the Calendar App showing PAID when the transactions are actually DECLINED. On the calendar view in the app, when payments are Complete, the calendar appointment shows up in a lighter color. I love this feature. However, I recently had a client tell me that their credit card has been cxld due to fraud, however when I look at the calendar and then into their appointment, the appointment says the amount and then paid. Unfortunately, the transaction was NOT PAID (which I confirmed by going into Transactions and talking with Support.). Support told me that I need to create a request here for a feature change. I don't understand why I could not do this through the support line (which I just spent an hour talking to).
