Has anyone figured out a way to let SQUARE know that people are unlinking their cards on file to not be charged when skipping out on appointments… is there a way that a hold is made to capture funds to prevent this other than requiring upfront charging for every client?
is there a way to allow clients to book multiple, same services on the same appointment?? Like a father wanting to schedule his sons two faded haircuts

Hello @ARaytheBarber, thank you for bringing this to our attention! I’m happy to assist with your inquiries:
1) While there isn’t currently a built-in solution for the scenarios you mentioned, I encourage you to share your ideas on the Square Ideate Board. This platform allows you to submit feature requests and provide feedback directly to our product team.
2) Square Appointments does offer a feature to book an appointment with multiple staff members. Here’s how to enable it:
- Sign in to your Square Dashboard and go to Appointments or Payments > Appointments.
- Click Settings > Calendar & Booking.
- Toggle ON Allow multiple staff to be booked in a single appointment.
- Click Save.
I hope this answers your questions! If not, feel free to reply with more details—I’d be happy to assist further.

I see now on the updated booking people can select multiple services if your hours reflect enough time to do so.
also they did take away the deposit thing I think they should put it back I didn’t have any issues with it, but you can go on individually put the deposit amount as the price…be sure to post somewhere they can read that they will still have a remaining balance due at time of service, no they don’t let you know. However I do nails, and I charge the full amount up front and created policies around having to cancel and rebook for a pre paid service

Hey @paigenicole0920, thanks for sharing your input and workaround. Sellers are still able to set up a prepayment policy (deposit). From your Square Dashboard, go to Appointments > Settings > Payments & Cancellations. If this isn't what you are looking please reach back out with more information and I'll be happy to assist you further. Feel free to submit any suggestions on our Ideate Board. Our team is always looking for ways to improve our platform, and appreciate your feedback.

There needs to be a way to collect deposits at the time of booking. You can make clients put a card on file in the event of a no-show then charge them after the fact, but I haven’t had an issue with folks unlinking their card.
I’ve started sending an ‘Invoice’ for appointment deposit but it’s a cumbersome process and a lot to keep track of manually.
Other beauty -oriented booking platforms offer automated deposit requests at time of booking that is then credited to the clients profile. Gloss genius offers this even with their free service.
As for parents scheduling appointments for multiple kids, the only way I’ve found is to make a profile for each child and book them as 2 separate appointments. It’s a PIA. Again, beauty-oriented platforms make this much easier. Catch up Square!!!

Absolutely agree SPIRO_SPERO SPA
Also, I have an assistant and there’s no way to for me to book another client while my assistant is finishing up for me.
I end up losing that time unless I manually book someone.
Square, please find a way around this
