I've had a few complaints from patients who sign their kids up with their contact info ie email and phone and when they try and schedule their own appointment it defaults to their kid's name and there's no way to change it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you for your patience while we gathered some of this information for you.
Currently, the same contact information is unable to be used on multiple profiles. Your customer will have the ability to change the contact information on the Sign In portion of their Appointment link, but you will run into this error when profiles use the same contact information.
I think this would be a great addition to our Ideate Board, where sellers drop feature request suggestions. There is a board specifically for Square Appointments and I would recommend checking if this has already been added by another seller. If it has, you can add your voice to their existing thread.

Hello @Rebalance, I appreciate you reaching out and are happy to help. But I do want to gather some more details to better assist. What do mean by sign-up? Are you referring to when they book the appointment? Why are they using their kid's information to sign up? Whenever you have a moment, please reply with a little more information describing your technical issue or question. I’ll be sure to follow up as soon as possible.

I had a mother sign her daughter up for an appointment. She put her daughters name in and used her (the mothers) contact info. Then when the mother went to make an appointment for herself, it automatically put her daughters name in and there was no way she could change it to her name.
Today I had another lady sign her elderly mother up for an appointment, again with her mom's name but her (the daughters) contact info. She then went to schedule herself right after her mom but the app would not allow it saying the phone number was already used by someone else. So she never got in today.
So I would like to know how can patients schedule different people with the same same contact info. I realize its a weird request but I do get a lot of people that sign up family members who are underage or in today's case, elderly, and the contact info needs to be the providers.
This is hard to explain. sorry.

Hi @Rebalance 👋 Violet here, following up for @MayaP. It looks like you still need help with this, so I kept the ball rolling on your inquiry.
I understand what you're saying here. You're referring to the difference between the contact info of the person booking the appointment vs the info of whom the appointment is actually for, the client. I have heard another Seller ask about this in the past, but I can't recall the answer 🤔
I'm reaching out to the Square Appointments team on this one. I'll be back once I receive a reply from them!
