So I’m running a tattoo and piercing studio. Thus far we’ve only been using square for the Piercing side of things and the square assistant is great, because clients are able to reschedule or cancel appointments on their own via Square assistant. Now that I’m trying to integrate the tattooers into the square appointments app as well, we’re running into an issue. The tattooers do not want their clients to be able to reschedule or cancel Appointments without reaching out to them and so I’ve had to disable the assistant completely.
This has been very inconvenient for our piercing clients because there’s just a much higher volume of appointments and it’s hard to keep track of every single person, trying to reach out to the studio to reschedule or cancel if the need arises. (We don’t have front of house staff)
Is there anyway to have the square assistant disabled for certain employees or services? And if not, is there any alternative solution that somebody might suggest?
We really don’t want to switch to something else and we don’t have to, but this is a pretty crucial aspect of our business.

Thanks for writing in with this question!
A workaround here could be to create a second location for Tattoo bookings only, and disable the assistant for this location. Let us know if this sounds like a doable workaround!
