Feature Request - Loyalty Rewards integration with Square Appointments.

So you may think, "wait a minute, Loyalty already works with Square Appointments!"  Well, not really.  Certainly not in any way that is actually useful to the business.

 

The issues that need addressing as I see it are as follows:

 

1) When a customer is in store, checking out and paying, and they already have accrued enough loyalty rewards that they can redeem a reward, this information needs to flash up on the screen BEFORE you process their payment - NOT AFTER!  

 

2) When booking appointments online through Square Appointments, if the customer is logged in to their existing account and is able to see a history of all of their past bookings, they should also be able to a) see the number of rewards points that they have and b) if they have enough they should be able to redeem their points to part pay (where a $ value is the redemption)  They cannot see any.  There is no connection to their rewards points at all

 

3) When booking appointments online through Square Appointments and they have been paid for online, in advance of their service, THESE PAYMENTS MUST ACCRUE LOYALTY REWARDS POINTS.  At the moment they do not.  I have logged a support call regarding this and been advised that it just does not happen.

 

4) It is not possible to run a report that shows me all enrolled customers and their Loyalty Rewards Balance and then sort by the balance - This information is NOT even contained in an export.  This is essential because a rewards points balance is an accounting liability.  In fact the loyalty rewards reports are atrocious and really hold very little value.  It is ok that you put them under the Loyalty tab, but you need to ALSO have them displayed under the Reports tab

 

5) When I am taking a payment at the register REDEEM REWARD POINTS should be a payment option.  Not one of my staff can ever find how to redeem rewards and always have to refer to the manual to do so.

 

6) If you aren't going to do any of the above at please PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE allow Gift Cards to be redeemed for rewards points so that I can apply a gift card to a customers account and then they can pay with that!

 

I have many many more suggestions surrounding loyalty, feel free to contact me, but if you can just start actually earning points when people pay for things then we will be streets ahead.

We got around number 3) by changing from a book and pay online appointment to a book online with no show protection and then pay in store.  This is also better because we are charged 2.2% fees when they pay online and only 1.6% fees when they pay in store.
