Error message “ There is an error updating the appointment.

 Hi, I need solutions about “Cancel Appointments and charge” or “card Declines”. Everytime my customer cancel I try to charge 25$ fee of no show up or cancel appointments but it keep showing the message I mention above . Sometime it show card decline. This in not really good for my business and lost of money even though I already pay square for to update my plan in order to get “Booking with No-show protect”.  I hope square team can have solution for me.

Unfortunately, if a card is provided for no-show protection, and it is declined when you attempt to charge the fee, you'll need to reach out to your client to obtain an alternative payment method. 

 

If you are receiving an error message stating appointment can't be updated, we would recommend re-trying using a different browser or device. 

 

Our direct support team can help if there is a specific appointment you're having issues with.

Im having the same issue. We had three no shows today. All of them booked with a card for no show protection. My company pays square for the no show protection but i get the “error” message too. When i hit mark no show, it take me to the page where it asks to charge the $ i decided for each service, i click on, try to charge then get this “error” message. This has been happening for 3 ish weeks jow and is driving my staff and i CRAZY. Along with other square glitches and issues. It’s becoming harder and harder to have my company with square. It’s a bummer cause my clients like the ease of booking on their end but on our end we encounter nightmare after nightmare.
