Booking multiple people at the same time (beauty/salon)

Coming from a nail salon perspective. I’d appreciate if clients could find and book appointments for multiple people at the same time. We often have clients that want to come in with a friend or partner for different services and at the same time but aren’t able to find availability with square’s online booking.

This would greatly improve client-business communication and increase traffic with clients looking to bring in a friend (who could potentially become clients in the future).

I’d imagine this feature would provide the option to add people to their booking and the square system would acknowledge that the appointment being requested is for 2 or more people and find times in our schedule where the same number of techs are available at the same time.

Just a note, I’ve seen this request before and it was marked delivered with the Class booking feature but I don’t think this applies for salons. We aren’t offering classes and aren’t opening classes for people to attend just hoping clients can find time to come in as a group.

this would be great for our couples services too we cannot book them online due to not being able to select 2 services with two providers with the same time

@essentialnails I think what you are asking for would be a bit more complicated.

@Heartathomecc we have been wanting / asking for years for a way to have a couples massage service where it would require the selection of two staff to be selected. Fresha uses packages that enable you to add two massages booked in parallel (at the same time) requiring the customer to select one staff member for each service in the package. Even allows discounting the package if desire. Right now customers have to book one massage, then see if another massage is available at the same time.

@DragonMassage sorry if I worded it poorly. Wouldn’t need it to be implemented the way I mentioned, it was just a suggestion but I would love it if clients could book parallel/same time services for multiple people through our website.

@DragonMassage  I know we’ve been doing it for 3 years we switched from fresha to square I couldn’t handle fresha anymore at that time.

Ive also been asking for a check in button for 3 years for appointments 🤣☠️

@essentialnails this and the check-in option have both been dismissed for years and it’s really upsetting because those are two huge things that would make Square appointments 10 times better especially for what we pay for them

I could really use this feature also. I own a 2-person barber shop. For example, I have a family with a dad and four children. Currently the dad has to book five separate appointments. It would be helpful if he could choose the # of haircuts needed and the app could tell him a time where they could get 5 appointments back to back. Currently the only option close to this is you can book two different services in one appointment. However this still does not work very well because it will not book both services at the same time, instead it will book both services one after the other, even though they are with two different barbers.
