Happy Thursday, everyone ❣️
Can you believe Valentine’s Day is just around the corner? As @phillipsrw points out, this year, there’ll be little time between Valentine’s Day and Easter. For businesses for whom these are key dates, it will be a busy couple of months.
With that in mind, I want to check-in quickly with everyone and would love to know: how are you handling the order rush for celebrations and holidays — especially when they are so close together?
You can also check out tips from other sellers on how they drive orders for occasions for Valentine’s Day.
Don’t forget to read our helpful list of 2024 celebrations too, which can be useful when you’re planning the rest of the year.

Tips & Tricks
Everything is so compressed in Q1 2024 here in the UK, Valentines, Mothers Day and Easter all roll up one after another within a matter of a few weeks. We have been working towards this period building stock since the beginning of January so we can role seemlessly from one to the next with full stock avaiabilty. We'll bring some more staff in to work this period and put holidays on hold until after Easter. A compressed retail period will mean less cash in the pool so we will have to work harder to ensure we maximise these opportunities.
Agreed on how busy it all feels in Q1 with holidays! Sounds like you have a good plan of action for this 👏

Honestly I feel like we always have something going on... we laugh when we get past Christmas because we think we can breathe, but in reality there are so many other things that happen so quickly. We have a habit of making custom products that take some time to get together- like custom crystal heart boxes for Valentine's Day.. these take a lot of man-hours from our staff to do.
Honestly we just out our heads down and WORK!

That zoned in focus time really does the trick!
@DinaLRosenberg I'm with you, we hit January and we think right holiday time, but reality is it just doesn't stop! It's good fun if not a little tiring 🙃
Holidays are good time for everyone. We love holidays. Everything can be managed in order. Just don't panic 🙂
