The ability to customize the email notifications is great, however the sms notification is very limited. Allowing customization, if possible, would be a welcome upgrade.

@nailsbyjlyn @Kenzi Right now you can only edit the email confirmations for Square Appointment and we're tracking the request to be able to edit text messages too! We'll share any updates in this thread.

 

@Kenzi You can change the cut-off time that a client can cancel an Appointment from the Calendar & Booking section of your Appointments Dashboard: 

  1. Scroll down to Online Scheduling.
  2. Click on the dropdown menu below Cut-off time for allowing clients to cancel or reschedule > choose a new time.
  3. Click Save.

I have been following this thread for a few months and this is pretty crucial for personal services- most of my clients are calling me from the parking lot asking how to get to my office because they don't find my email which includes arrival instructions. This function is available with MINDBODY and Vagaro, yet I'm a solo therapist and don't need such advanced software. I'm a really big fan of Squareup with everything so far except this missing feature, and it's keeping my personal review lower because it's not been added yet. It seems this would be a positive change for account holders and I really encourage this to be a priorty!

I have been a square  person for I believe 5 to 6 years. Problem started when I got this new phone. It has been taken  care of. I have the right reader coming a d if I can get the ubs type c I can use my old readers. Now really.sure if that is what you wanted from.  Everything  is fixed with my account. Should have the new reader any day.  Thank you. 

With Covid it is imperative that we be able to customize text messages. I have many many clients that don't read the email reminder. I have no way of communicating the need for them to fill out my Covid release form prior to arrival to their appointment. 

We recently switched from a competitor that allowed SMS customization for appointment reminders, which allowed us to remind people what to bring to their appointments. Not having it has been a big issue, given that we require people to bring certain with them to their appointments. Are there any additional work arounds or testing for this to come in the future yet when several competitors have this option?

Is there a way to edit the verbage on the appointment reminder text or add a check in time?
