Feature Request: Schedule classes + group sessions + multiple clients during one time slot

Has anyone successfully used Appointments to schedule classes taught to clients/gneeral public?  Looking for tips. Thanks!

Thanks for posting in the Seller Community. 

The ability to book group sessions or an appointment for multiple people is one of our most popular feature requests. I went ahead and moved your post over to this thread to prevent duplicates.

We do not currently have an ideal workaround to suggest. Square Appointments right now isn't optimized for group classes, events, etc. For your business, I may suggest that you use our Square Online Store instead. You will be able to list items as Events, and then sell tickets to the events per person so they can select a quantity:

We don't currently offer class or group booking with Appointments - certainly a popular request and I know how helpful it would be for you (and many others.) 

For now the only workaround I can suggest would be scheduling overlapping sessions for each client in the group/appointment. However, it's only possible for you to create overlapping appointments manually on your calendar, so this isn't something your customer's could book.

Hey @jonzi, thanks for bringing this up.

Right now, the option to show the time as available even if someone has already scheduled at that time and day (e.g. book an appointment that overlaps another appointment) isn't available.

I don't have access to a specific timeline for when this feature may be added, but I can assure you that our product liaison team is tracking this request.

Thanks, Tom, for your reply.  That is great!  Having that feature would be a huge help to me.  I hope the "guys/gals" will include a way for sellers to set a maximum number for a time slot (e.g.:  2 appointments @ 4:00 pm; or 5 appts. at 1:00 pm).  Glad to know there is intention to progress that direction.

I own a pilates studio, I would like to express my need for group class scheduling as well. I love that I can do mulitiple services with Square but def need to book mulitiple ppl in an hour.  Any insight of when this may be available?

I teach group childbirth classes.  I see how the personal trainers are booking packaged appointments, and that's super helpful for me since my classes are 5 sessions in duration.  BUT, is there a way I can book, say, 6-10 clients in the same time slots for the same class series?

I wish to use the square appointments feature however, It isnt set up in a way where you can have a set class course that is 6 weeks long and once a week.. Is there a way around this to make it work for what I need it to?
