Feature Request: Create packages including multiple services via Square Appointments

The title of this post has been edited from the original: How to schedule multi packs with Square Appointments?

Hoping to find some help here.  We offer a service that clients can pay for and book appointments online. Great. The problem is that there are discounted packages if multiple treatments are purchased at one time, if this option is chosen, the client is only able to schedule one appointment as opposed to multiple separate appointments for each of the treatments they purchase.  Is there a way to make this work? Thanks in advance.

Re: Create Recurring Invoices in the Square App

Hello @coriumesthetics!

As a workaround you could use recurrning invoices with Square Appointments for a package, and view the number of invoices remaining in the series. However, you can't images to a recurring invoice series, I'm sorry!

Another workaround is to create a single service for package deals you offer but you'd need to track the number of sessions completed manually. You could ask customers to contact you directly for packages, and then schedule each session in the package deal as a separate appointment to ensure clients are charged for each session.

I'm adding your post to this thread where other sellers are interested in using Appointments to create and manage packages. We'll update the status to give you a heads up about any developments on this feature request.

As for your question about marketing by text - you might like to subscribe to this separate thread for updates!

Re: How to schedule multi packs in appointments

Yep! While we don't have a way to automatically apply discounts when customers book more than one service, you can create bundles as individual services. For example if you are a personal trainer, you can list 5 sessions at the discounted price as one appointment.

When your customer comes in for their first appointment, you then can manually book their next, or all upcoming, appointments through your Appointments Dashboard. In your client information section of Dashboard you have the ability to add notes and view past appointments so you can keep track of their remaining appointments even if the schedule one at a time!

I would love to see this feature as well! I currently use another booking software because this feature doesn't exist. If this option were available I could run everything right from square... it would be a lot more streamlined. Please update if this comes out!

@CoachLins Thanks for posting!

Currently tracking sessions is a not available with Square's software, but since you're using Invoices to sell your packages, set up Recurring Invoices with Card on file. This allows you to auto bill your clients' cards on a cadence that you both agree on.  I merged your post to add to a different thread where Helen provides links to set this up.

No matter how many times someone suggests recurring invoices or gift cards, I think those of us who are requesting this feature can all agree, these suggestions do NOT work. They are not the same thing and they do not work in place of selling and tracking packages.

yes. I need this feature as well !! I’m selling the packages , and client pays at once. But there’s no way to show the client about their packages details and how many sessions left.  It’s inconvenient.

how do you sell this stuff?

I own a salon and spa and we NEED SQUARE TO CREATE A TRACKING SYSTEM FOR SERVICE PACKAGES!!! This is ridiculous!!! We are considering going back to Booker because of how complex/dysfunctional square appointments is when it comes to tracking treatment packages. This thread started in 2016 and Square has YET to resolve this issue for so many business owners. At this point it is unacceptable. I wish I could see action taking place instead of constantly being pushed onto a "thread" or "being added to the queue list to similar requests" by customer service. @Helen @Kelly

@Lehughes3 I’m right there with you. The rest of my coworkers are using MassageBook. I came into my space already using Square Appointments, and held out because I appreciate the integration between scheduler and payment, with the hope that eventually they’d add this feature. I have a post on here from years ago asking for it. It might be time to make the switch and just schedule my clients on MassageBook like the rest of my colleagues. You’re letting us down here, Square!

@JustinC  any news on when in 2021 this feature will be in production?

I don't see any updates at this time, but we will make sure to update this thread as soon as we have solid information to share. 😊

Seriously square!! Can we please have an option for packages and intake forms?!? Like there are so many programs out there but I have used you for yearsssssss!!! Please stop gaslighting us all, (pretend to add to queue and then never do anything) If you have trouble go look at schedulista or acuity and look at what they have to offer for all their business tools then update square with some of those!! Simple. I want to switch but I’ve tried 2 others and don’t like the clonkiness! Square you could literally dominate the field if you got your act together and just did this!! Tired of it.
