How do I delete an inactive vendor?

How can I delete an inactive vendor? I thought this seemed like a pretty straightforward thing to do but I can't seem to find any place in my dashboard that will let me do that.

I had a "fake" vendor in my database when I was initially setting up and testing. Don't need the fake vendor anymore but once I make the vendor inactive there doesn't seem to be a way to delete it.  Now every time i look at my default "item library" the include box for my inactive vendor is checked by default.  

Am i missing something simple here?

Dear Square, please allow us to delete inactive vendors. Because when filling out item-related forms, your "create new" option always shows up first in the list of suggestions. Imagine quickly entering dozens at a time between customers. You will inevitably type "Ch + enter" instead of "Ch + down arrow key + enter" resulting in the creation of a new bogus vendor named "Ch."  There's no need to keep this permanently. It seems like such an easy fix. Thanks!

Dear Square... please please let us delete an inactive vendor. Ours are mostly where someone made a spelling error and had to deactivate it and make the correct one. Why I have to keep looking at the inactive ones is beyond me. Please please let us delete them!

I second these requests to delete inactive vendors, but I have figured out a bit of a work around.  You can always reactivate a vendor and edit it to change it to a new one.  So long as the inactive one doesn't have any items associated with it, it doesn't seem to harm anything.  But I have more vendors that need to be deleted than I do new vendors, so hope this gets implemented.

Dear Square, I have been reading your answers. I understand that we can’t just delete data in either employees or vendors. As an alternative, can you provide an ARCHIVE to dump all this junk into?

Bringing this up again in hopes Square will create an option for sellers to DELETE inactive vendors.  Nothing has seemed to be mentioned since the 2021 post
