Feature Request: Sync inventory across multiple locations

Feature Request: Sync inventory across multiple locations

The title of this post has been edited from the original: Multi-Location Inventory - All locations use same inventory

Is there a way to have multiple locations use the same inventory? We sell orders from several locations and need to track by location, but the inventory comes from the same stock. Aside from assigning a certain amount of inventory to each location, and likely having to shuffle the inventory around within square, and possibly thinking we are out and ordering more when there's plenty in the inventory of another location... Can certain items be assigned from a central inventory stock and other items be location specific?

I'm not seeing this is possible now, but is it something being considered?

I'm using Square POS, not retail. I believe retail has a more robust inventory system, but retail is just far more in general than we need.

I also would find this feature very useful.  Glad there is a demand for it.

It’s been three years since the original post with lots of interest (and some similar questions posed on other threads in the community.)

Is there an update on this yet? An ETA for when it might come out in beta? As we continue to grow the preorder side of our business this is a more and more important feature. I love square overall, but am exploring other options for our online sales because of this lack of functionality.

Along there same lines, have any of you come across a way to maybe just have a mandatory question that people have to answer when checking out online? This coupled with the ability to turn off squares un-helpful ‘when your order will be ready’ function (which confuses the heck out of our customers since the locations are a mess because of lack of inventory sync) would be an easy work around.

Inventory control is essentially useless to me without this pooled inventory feature. I am NOT going to constantly adjust my single inventory figures at each of four locations for fifty products. Inventory needs to be tied to PRODUCT not LOCATION!

Just adding my vote for inventory pooling. I like many others have one location where all inventory is kept and then dispersed to each pick up location as it is ordered. With the online ordering system I have run into problems of people ordering based on pick up location and having to refund them for purchasing something that is actually out of stock but not updated because the inventory tracking accounting for shared inventory.

Just want to be notified when a solution is found. I have the same problem.

I also need this feature added - cannot believe this has been requested over a year ago by over 100 vendors, and still not in place.  Please add this feature request ASAP.

How long is Square going to track this problem before they finally have an answer?  It should be fairly obvious by now - today is June 9th, that there are a lot of folks out here that need a way to do this (pull from one inventory for more than one location) and if it can't be done using Square, it seems to me that you should just tell us so we can find another POS that does allow us to do this.  Please find a solution, it's hard enough entering inventory once, I cannot do it three times!

We sell at farmers markets and have multiple locations so we can separately manage taxes at each location we sell at, but we carry the entire inventory between locations (including online). We need a way to pool the inventory into one count and sell from the same inventory at all locations (including online).

I saw an earlier post regarding this but no outcome.

Is there a way to add/separate inventory location?

Example:

I have standard inventory which we can call "Floor" inventory. I also have however, "over stock" inventory and need to know whether an item is on the floor or in over stock when I do an item search

Thanks in advance

I'm adding my vote for this feature! I have sales that I do directly and then from my website (setup as a second location). They seem to be pulling the inventory numbers separate from each other when in fact they come from the same inventory pool. I'd love to select for them to all pull from the same numbers.
