Feature Request: Permanently remove images uploaded to the image gallery of my website

The title of this post has been edited from the original: Removing images from my images on website editor

Is it possible to remove images that I do not plan to use on my website after having uploaded them to my images?  I have a number of images I no longer plan to use and am hoping to do a cleanup so I do not post any of these by mistake.

Thank you for letting us know that we can upload as many images as we like.However this still forces us into having to filter through and micro manage images that should be or need to be removed.I hope,we hope this feature request is taken seriously.Not being able to remove images is unheard of on any site. Tara

It sounds like you're asking about the images displayed within the pop-up that appears when you go to add an image to a Photo gallery within your website editor, @allium:

If so, there is currently not a way to prevent previously uploaded photos from appearing within this pop-up box. Please let me know if this isn't quite what you were asking about!

I agree with Tara. I have loaded multiple images to see which one best suits what I want and now it is a mess of images that I cannot eliminate, it's ridiculous that there is no way to delete them.

I agree also.  There needs to be a way to delete the unwanted images.  Should be a simple fix.

I know there are many others out there who are in the same boat.Come on Square Team/Weebly Team,fix this.Install a trash can just like when I’m uploading images for sale.What’s the difference.

Well, it's now June 2021, can you delete photos not needed any longer or are they there forever?

Please,please! Give us the ability to delete gallery images of our choice.It’s like window dressing at a brick and mortar store.Change and keeping things fresh is important.If I can selectively remove images for online images what is the difference with the gallery images.Tara-FlyingHorse Art Studio

Will this site builder ever be able to delete images in an image gallery? Is there unlimited space there?

Hi there, @bsia - as of now, we don't have any confirmed timeline to share in regards to image deletion capabilities. As soon as we do, we can bounce back here and update accordingly. 

You should be able to upload as many images as you like!
