Feature Request: Display in-stock quantity of each item on my Square website

In the online store is there a way to display the quantities of each item in stock to the customer?

For example lets say I have 20 of a certain item left in stock, I need the customer to know when looking at said item that there is only 20 remaining.

I still don't see a way to add items from the store to the online store. Finding the items is a real chore (constantly clicking View More to get through hundreds of items listed in no particular order). Then, once I have found the item I'd like to add to the online store, there is no obvious way to actually add it. Any insights?

For items that have an inventory quantity set up - is there an option to have a drop down box with the available quantity showing instead of the + / - signs?  It's hard for the customer to negotiate with multiple items with different quantities.  If they could click on the number and see what's available it would be so much easier.

@paintedspring - hmm we only have low stock indicator that appears when stock drops below 5. Besides that, there isn't a drop down feature available that shows item quantities.

Is there a way to display the quantity of each item available in the online store.

Or at the very list is there a function so the amount selected corresponds with what we have in stock. It is frustrating for the customer to be able to select, as an example, 36 of an item when only 18 are available. The system currently tacks an unnecessary step to the transaction.

Currently the ability to display available stock on an item preview is a feature request.

We definitely see how it could benefit your business model. Our teams are constantly looking through our seller's feedback to make necessary improvements, and we will be sure to let you know if anything ever changes or if new updates are released.

    Hope someone can help me here.  I have a brick and mortar store and am setting up for square online sales.  All of my inventory is coming out of the brick and mortar shop and I would like to be able to set my website to show that an item is out of stock when I am down to 1 or 2 left.  I am wanting to do this so that at Christmas time when tings are busy, I can try to avoid selling the last of something in the shop only to find out that it was also ordered online and now I don't have one to ship.  

I know that you can do this in Woocommerce and I think Shopify as well.  I can't find settings for this in Square Online.  Even better would be if it could show that an item is sold out online, but available in store.

Hi @glitchgifts - and welcome to the Community! 🎉 I've moved your post over to this thread where we looked at some of the badges you can choose to display on the items on your Square Online website.

The Sold out badge will only be displayed when your inventory is at 0 - when you're sold out of those items. There is not currently a way to make this badge appear before you are actually sold out of an item. You may want to consider toggling on the Only a few left badge to give online customers a heads up about low inventory!

One way you can accomplish exactly what you're looking to do is to short your stock. Since you'd like your website to show that an item is out of stock when you have 1 or 2 left, simply head to edit your item and lower the stock by 1 or 2.
