Since we cannot seem to get the actual functionality for a self service kiosk, can we at least get an update to the app, so that we do not see the menu items for things an employee does not have access too? (e.g. if the employee does not have access to reports... why does the menu item display? Seems it would make sense to remove instead of clicking on it and see the permissions error.

Hey @gamecoder5  I would love to chat about the stand alone kiosk I'm looking to do it. I have 3 of the new square POS I can use.

Is there any way to have the square reader and app set up to leave at a fundraising event so each time someone taps their card against it there will be a £5 donation taken without resetting the app every time?

Hi @gamecoder5 . Did you ever get your self serve kiosk software up and running? If so, what would be the monthly cost?

We would love to see this but from a "Check-in" perspective for our barbershop - where a customer comes in and selects their name from a list showing on the screen - so that the barber will know that the client is in fact there on site. Due to COVID we have to set clients outside on the patio or in their cars - they cannot wait in the building. Going forward still, this would be great for when it is busy and would allow for a "Who's Next" screen to be available that people can see as they come in - like taking a number at the DMV and then waiting for your number to be called.

Just wanted to update everyone with the latest:

 

While we still haven't built/developed a self-service kiosk, I wanted to let everyone know about our Self-serve Ordering and QR Codes with Square Online.

 

Self-serve ordering offers a contactless dine-in experience that’s quick and easy to use. Instead of browsing a paper menu and placing orders with a staff member, customers use their mobile phones to scan a QR code at their table. The QR code automatically directs them to your website where they can choose their items and pay. Everything is processed online, so there’s no need to handle credit cards or checks. Your staff will see which table each order came from, so they’ll know exactly where to deliver the items.

Additionally, I will update this thread again if I hear any updates on the development of a self-service kiosk or app from Square.
