Can we accept egift cards through our Square Appointments site?

Hello,

We're pleased that Square is now offering egift cards, but it seems that we cannot currently allow our customers to redeem their egift cards on our Square Appointments website.  Will this capability be released soon?

Hey @portal, great question! 

You are correct, Square gift cards whether they are electronic or physical cannot be used to book an appointment online. I think this feature request would be great for Sellers that use Square Appointments.

Yes, we need customers to redeem egift cards when booking or when the seller is checking out the service - need to be able to enter egift card number to redeem

Although we're still tracking the need for gift card redemption upon booking, you're still able to redeem them in the Appointments app at checkout.
