Test Partial Payments in the Invoices Request Deposit Beta

Hey everyone!

I’m excited to announce that we’ve rolled out a beta for accepting partial payments with Square Invoices!

This new feature will allow you to create a single invoice and track multiple payments on that invoice. This may also be useful for those of you who want to accept a deposit and collect the rest of the amount due later.

We know this is a feature many of you have been waiting for, so I hope you’ll help us test it out!

Has the ability to request deposits on invoices been removed entirely?

I am also unable to mark one of my invoices as Paid In Full.  The customer originally made the deposit using the Request Deposits feature (which is instrumental for us), and she paid via Square POS when the item was delivered.  I’m not unable to mark her invoice as Paid.

Is this growing pains, did the feature go away entirely?

Would love to be a part of this! As a caterer, deposits are crucial and the 50% discount on the full invoices isn't ideal for tracking true revenue.

Hi ,

I own a custom cake shop so the deposit request feature is the best thing ever!  HOWEVER... some clients just pay the remaining balance when they come in to pick up the cake, yet when I bring up the invoice for them to swipe to pay the balance, there is no way to do it. It's embarassing to not be able to take a payment. How do I pay the balance owed when the client is in my shop?
