Square Register - Customer Directory and Payment Reporting
Do these updates help with linking a customer to their transactions.
In your new Square system, currently we are unable to look up a past transaction and have it show any customer info or a link to their customer profile.
Also in the Customer area, have you added a “card” that includes past transactions they have made? Without this info linked or displayed, it is very hard to resolve issues for customers asking about a past transaction.

Thx for the reply Tom. I am referring to the new Square Register system.
We used it for taking sales and preorders at our last gaming convention. For the preorders, we had customers enter address info in after the purchase, but when we try to access those transactions after the show to fulfill those preorders, we can’t access customer info from the transaction screen which makes it hard to fulfill these orders.
I don’t want to hyjack this comment board so let me know if there is a better place to discuss. This just seemed to pertain since this update was about Customer Data accessibility improvements. I thought there might be a chance this was addressed.

I just touched base with our Retail Team we were able to review your post.
It sounds like you're looking to view full customer information from the Transactions tab. At this time, we aren't able to surface it there—you'll have to refer to the Customers tab to find their address.
Right now, our best suggestion for the quickest way to view these customer details is from the online Square Dashboard. Currently Square Register doesn't show the name of the customer who made the purchase, though we will keep track of this request.
Please don't hesitate to reply with any other questions and we'll get back to this thread with any other developments. We are actively working on improvements based on seller feedback.
