MEMBERSHIP app connection with Square
Hello,
We would love to have a MEMBERSHIP app connection with Square. This would also be great for non-profits that rely on monthly or yearly membership subscriptions.
We have to do this separately which is a lot of work. Having something integrated would be way better! Thank you.

Hi @pdxastro - I moved your message here so we can track your feature request more closely.
Can you share a little more about how this would look for you? Would you want an integration with a specific membership app or one you could customize? The more detail you're able to share, the more we're able to pass on to our team!
Thanks again for posting!

Although I did not post the original question, I have been searching Square for what seems to be the same type of answer. I am new to the Square system that is being used at our non-profit. We sell yearly family memberships, as well as having daily entry fees. When I began my position here, I was told that the reason for entering the date of yearly membership purchase in the birthday field was so that a list may be generated monthly (we've been open roughly six months now), as memberships come upon the date of experation, so we may send an email informing them that their membership would be set to expire soon. I was then told that, although it had been the plan in the beginning and how information has been entered, it may not be possible to generate the list of upcoming membership expirations by way of using the birthdate entry feature.
Is there a way to generate a monthly list of memberships coming up for expiration, so we may send correspondance that it will be lapsing soon, by way of the birth dates entered? If not, is there another way through Square to achieve this? Thank you for your help. Smiling & Waving, Sharon

Hello @MightyMuseum! This is a great question that required a bit of testing.
So if you use the birthday section of the Customer Directory it will require some manual work on your end. Right now we don't have a system for tracking memberships, but you can export your Customer Directory on the Square Dashboard. The Export will create a CSV file with a column for birthdays. You would then have to do a manual sort in Excel or Google Sheets.
If you have any other questions please feel free to reach out to me!

I am adding to the post to let the folks at Square know that there are others seeking this type of app.
I will be following this thread.
Thanks for the work around of using the "birthday" column.

Glad to hear the workaround is at least helping out a bit for now, and thank you for sharing your interest around a membership style integration @boardroomnt
If anything new comes up, we'll chime back in on this thread.

I would like to see square add a membership opption. Even if its just a sort by option I want to capture birthdays in the birthday field so this isn't such a great way for me. This is the work around I come up with. Using myself as an example. I couldnt add the last image but it shows just my name becasue I am the only member at the moment
