Feature Request for Square Payroll - Contractors

Hello! When will square payroll for contractors allow us to pay contractors with EIN vs SSN? Also, we can keep writing manual checks BUT would prefer to use the direct deposit. Why does the direct deposit take a week to hit their account? Wouldn't it make more sense if they would get the funds in 24-48 business hours? I'm sure my contractors would appreciate a system that streamlined payments, save them a trip to the bank, but still get their funds in a day or 2. I would love to be able to have the 1099s automated, which is why I want to start using this feature.

Hi again @staticms. Thanks for your interest in using Square Payroll. I went ahead and shared your requests with the Payroll team. I can't share a specific timelines here in the Community but these requests are already on their radar.

When you can add a contractor using an EIN instead of an SSN, and process payroll faster, we'll will alert you by posting in this thread. Thanks for your patience in the meantime!
