Hi-
We are a chocolates and gifts shop, and have used loyalty since it was released. The one problem we run into is customers not knowing their status/if they have any rewards. The new ability to check that via the web helps, but many of our customers are not internet-savvy or don't think to check ahead of time. It would be great if we could have our "start" screen for the POS be a loyalty login screen. This would be a screen that is left up on the POS after/before any sale; the store/employee would face the Square Register iPad toward the customer as a starting point. When the customer approached to make a purchase, they could enter their phone number to "login" for earning their points, and be told if they have any rewards (and select if they wish to redeem). It should also have a "Skip" button for those customers not interested or enrolled in the loyalty program. This would be immensely helpful to have as an option (though it should be possible to enable/disable it), as it avoids our staff having to take the time to associate a customer with the sale or check the status for them and speeds up the process. We might disable it during the super-busy times when it could slow down a line (Valentine's, Christmas) and rely on the current functionality for those times, but generally it would have no impact on checkout speed.
The other way to handle this would be to allow customers, via their status page, to print out a "card" with a barcode for their loyalty account and allow us to scan the barcode to associate the customer with the account.
The biggest problem we have now with loyalty is no one redeeming rewards (and thus them piling up, which concerns us) because they don't know until after the sale that they had one, and don't remember the next time they visit. The current options for checking status ahead of a sale that are available to store staff are insufficient (the customer status page on our website is great, but many customers don't use it).
It would be great if this was included in a future release. Other members, what are your thoughts?

We'd certainly be interested to hear if any other sellers are concerned that customers aren't redeeming rewards - thanks for starting the conversation!
