Appointments

Hi there, we've recently setup appointments again for our back to school uniform shop fittings and it doesn't seem to be allowing selection of the service.  It also doesn't allow sign in via a QR code in the mobile view?  Is 2FA authentication always required now as we didn't have to do this last year?

 

We paid for the appointments add on last year for a period of 3 months - is there this option again so that we can get the full package working properly again?

 

We need to release this tomorrow so appreciate your advice ASAP.

Also if I subscribe to the $40/month add on can I only pay for 1 location?  Will that overcome this problem?

Thanks for reaching out to us with your queries, sorry we couldn't get back to you sooner!

Regarding the QR code question, it sounds like you had previously added customers to a sale with a QR code or barcode. At this time, this feature is not available via Square Appointments. You may have been using the Square Point of Sale app previously. As a suggestion, you could still use the Square Point of Sale app in-store as your main point of sale if this is a feature you benefit from.

You could then use a separate device (laptop or tablet) to track your appointments for the day/week.

You can manage your Square Appointments subscription at any time from your online Square Dashboard. Follow these steps to upgrade or continue your plan. 

The Square Appointments Plus Plan won't address the above issue as the QR code option is not available with the Square Appointments app.

Thanks Laurie but we want to give parents ability to do online also.  And online it is still not allowing a service to be selected.  Nothing appears - don't I need to subscribe to Appt Premium to have that resource/room feature available?  When setting up appointments online it asks if we want to create a QR code??  We'd like parents to be able to do this quickly and easily rather than setting up an app. Really need to sort this out this afternoon appreciate your reply.  I'm currently on long hold to support.  Thanks Sacha

It looks like we weren't on the same page before regarding the QR code. From what you've described in your latest message, it sounds like you shared your online booking site via a QR code, customers can then scan this and be taken to your online booking site. Is this what you're referring to?

If so, to find your QR code:
 

1. Navigate to Customers > Appointments in your online Square Dashboard.
2. From the left-hand menu, click Online Booking > Settings.
3. Select between QR code only or Ready to print QR code and message.
4. Click Get QR Code to view and share your code.
 

Regarding managing resources, the Appointments Premium subscription is required to access this feature at the moment.

In terms of troubleshooting your online booking site, I recommend working through these steps to ensure your settings have been configured correctly for online booking.
