With Square Appointments, do you have to pay the monthly fee when your seasonal business is closed?

We operate a seasonal business and have used Square for credit card purchases for the last few years. Love it. We are considering the use of Square appointments for our group scheduling. The question is whether we have to continue to pay the monthly fee when our seasonal business is closed? Thanks!

Great question. While group sessions aren't currently supported, we have many sellers who use Square Appointments seasonally.

 

If you're closing up shop for a period of time, you'll need to head over to your Pricing & Subscriptions tab and select "Unsubscribe" > "Confirm" for Appointments. When it's time to start taking appointments again, you can turn it back on by selecting "Subscribe".

 

If you discontinue your Appointments subscription, you will continue to have access to it through the end of the current month.
