Iโm not sure if this is a feature which squre canโt do or im new to epos system.
I run a bar and sell wine by the glass (small, medium or large) or by the bottle.
Iโm trying to set up stock control but I canโt find the best way to do it.
Its needs to subtract the wine glass from the bottle and if the bottles gone then from the bottle inventory.
How are being doing stock control with wine?

I don't believe this is yet possible, you would probably have to work out how many servings you have by the bottle and add them up and then deduct them manually per glass served

Iโv looked at that but everytime a customer orders a glass you have to enter the decimal which i think makes a pos a bit to complicated

As @MJD says, itโs not possible right now.
Itโs a raised feature request, but be realistic in time frames. From what others have said before theyโve had to update/manage by the glass & bottle stock with manual intervention.

The easiest way would be to stock by the millilitre, then you know how much youโve got and rather than selling by size sell by amount, then you can work out what you have left of each

@MJD But then your large/small/bottle are all the same price per ml rather than proportional.

No because you could have variations or modifiers?

@MJD That would then be separate stock again & need manual intervention for control.

Seems like an impossible mission then, I stick to the simple stuff with photography, this seems like a whole other world for square ๐

Hi @pigsnoseinn, thank you for your post! I can confirm that this is currently a (very popular) feature requests. From the last updates, the team are working to roll something out soon but I don't have an exact date for this. Have you had a chance to look at our Beta Community yet? It might be good to join so you can potentially get access to this feature first when we test them out.
I know that one of our partners, MarketMan, offers this type of tracking/calculations so it might be worth looking into them as well while our team work on a native solution.

Thanks tranguyen,
I will have a look at the beta programs, I do like trying out new things.
I had a look at market man a bit on the expensive side for me, but thanks for the suggestion.
I do like how far square has gotten since I first joined up.

Glad to hear you've been enjoying Square, @pigsnoseinn! MarketMan is definitely on the expensive side. If I hear of any other workaround in the meantime, I'll definitely flag it here.
