Why will my sales tax and shipping rate not show up at checkout.

Hi There, 

I need help.

My shipping rate and sales tax will not show up at check-out. I have tried the standard instructions as well as thread suggestions. Super frustrating. I'd like to launch this weekend.

Will someone please help. I appreciate it!

Hi Troy. I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble with your site. 

 

Have you filled out the customer information on the checkout screen? The shipping rate, and order total will not update until a shipping rate is selected, and the shipping rates will not appear until an address is entered.

Mine is doing the same. I cannot get the shipping and tax to show up at checkout. Also, I can't select USPS which is how I typically ship.

HI! I have tried everything to get my standard, set flat rate shipping charge to show up at check out. I've added address and it still says FREE SHIPPING for some reason. Can you please help?

Hi @Christina2002 Welcome to the Community 😊

 

I checked your site, and I was able to see a $4 shipping charge on the checkout page. Please keep in mind that shipping will not show up until a recipient address is entered at checkout. 

 

Regarding your item here, is there a reason you are using a text box modifier instead of using the Item Variation option? I think you will find that variations makes more sense to use than the current setup you have, but I may be overlooking something.

HI...I am having a similar issue...after I have entered my shipping information, the system tells me "This address is not supported. Please select another.".  I have tried multiple address but can't make it work.

Hi Joe,

No, I don't use Shippo.  After fiddling around, I was able to figure out that I did not have my regions set up which was causing the issues with my shipping.  I also was able to get the taxes to calculate properly.  Thank you!!!!

Can you please explain what you did by "fiddling around?" I have customers getting the same error: This Address is not supported, please select another.

It sounds like the other seller was able to edit the shipping regions for the store on the Online dashboard under Fulfillment > Shipping > Edit Regions 

 

Have you had a chance to setup your shipping areas and rates yet?

I’m also having the issue.

Taxes show up when I use the actual Square App. However it does not calculate when I try to check out using the website with the same item.

If you have configured your taxes correctly on your online dashboard and they still do not appear after a compatible address is entered during Checkout then I would suggest you reach out to our Square Online support team here

 

The team will look into the account and pinpoint what is going and escalate if necessary.

i am having the same issue as many above.  i have entered my sales tax and shipping information but on the checkout screen, it does not show up, even when an address is entered.   any suggestions.

Hmm.. both of those options should show up once you enter a shipping address and proceed to the credit card portion of the checkout page. Note: online sales taxes are not applied to every order, so they will only show when applicable.
