Hi there @Candleco - the This store is not yet accepting payments message typically appears when there is an SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate error. SSL is enabled for you by default the first time you publish your website, so you shouldn't need to do anything extra here.

It does, however, take some time to get the SSL up and running on a custom domain name. If you do have a custom domain name, please note that it may take 24 to 48 hours before your site appears normally and securely when searching that domain in a browser. For more details, see our guide here.

If you're still running into a bit of trouble, please ensure that you have followed both Step 1 and Step 2 of this guide to connecting your domain to your Square Online website. Missing the second step is a common mistake I've seen again and again, and will definitely cause some issues.

Definitely reach back out here if you still have concerns - we're happy to take a deeper dive!

Sorry to hear. Sounds strange, reach out to our Square Online Team so they can comb through your settings.

Thanks for reaching out, @kaykes

It sounds like the SSL may be disabled for the website. Can you try the following:

1. From the Square Online dashboard, click on Website > Site Preferences then scroll down to the bottom of the page to unpublish the site.

2. Next, click on Website > Edit Site then republish the website.

This should trigger the SSL to reconfigure. Once the site is secure you will see the option to add the items to cart for checkout.

Please let me know if you still see the error after completing these steps.

P.s. Welcome to the Community 😊

This information is very valuable. Thank you. I've followed all the steps correctly, it has already been verified and started the process on June 3.  It is June 9th and I still keep seeing the message "This store is not yet accepting payments." on my store.  I've read that the transfer of my domain from where I used to have my store would take 24-48 hrs but it is taking longer than that.

Is there anything else that I need to do, or that I am not doing that is delaying this process?

Thank you in advance!

Gabe

There is an error on my checkout page as of last night/this morning stating "This business is currently not accepting payments." This error was not present yesterday, during business hours.

Tech support robot was not helpful and there seems to be no customer service to call and talk to. Is this happening to others? Please help!! I have people trying to register for my product/service. I, unfortunately, have time constraints too and do not want to lose out on customers.

Thank you!!

Sorry to hear about the troubles, @candicebrunling!

If you've already made sure to toggle on the Accept online orders option within the Checkout portion of the Settings section of your Online Store Dashboard, this is more than likely related to an SSL certificate. I've moved your post over to this thread, where another seller saw the same error message. Please let us know here if this doesn't quite get you where you need to be.

In case you still need to get in touch by phone, here are the steps you'll take to get your Customer Code and give us a call.

Hi there! I am having the same problem now like yours and I went ahead and checked your site and saw it functioning just well. I have done all the verifications, payment, shipping and etc. set up but still it shows that my store is not yet accepting payments. Can you please possibly tell me how you have come to fix yours? Thank you so much in advance!

Hi there, @Veureste - if you just published your site, that could be why you are seeing this message at the moment. If you're using a custom domain, it can take 24 to 48 hours before your site appears normally when searching the domain in a browser.

I've moved your post over to this thread, where we outlined why you may be seeing this message. Please let us know if this doesn't get you where you need to be!

It looks like several people are having this same issue. I upgraded my site to a paid one through Weebly on Wednesday and I am still having issues. I wonder if it is because I waited to change my DNS records instead of doing it then? Hope to get some answers soon!

Hey @laceyday - since you mentioned changing your DNS records, it sounds like you've connected a custom domain name. I moved your post over to this thread, as it should shine some light on what you're seeing here. Take a look at the Best Answer here, and let us know if you're still running into trouble!

Hey @laceyday I'm stepping in for @Valentina here. Make sure you have your SSL turned on. To do this, open the website in the site editor and go to the Settings tab, then click the enable toggle for SSL. Thanks!

@AshleyK  Hi! My site is an online Square store hosted by Weebly and there is no option to toggle the SSL on/off.  That seems to only be available in a standard Weebly site. I will attach a screen shot. Below is the only thing that mentions SSL and states that it is always enabled. I have already upgraded to a custom domain which is shown as the current site address.ssl.PNG

Thank you so much for sending the screenshot! Let's try un-publishing the site with the option in Website > General Settings, then publish again and give it a minute.

If that doesn’t work then you will need to contact Weebly support and have an engineer look at it.

Let me know if you have any other questions and thanks again for working with me on this.

The same thing is happening to me. At first I thought it had to do with the days/hours that I set for the "delivery" option. But I changed that, and it's still happening. We were hoping to go live with the site this week for our customers, but can't until this is resolved. It says "

This store is not yet accepting payments." when trying to checkout.

@lhenley  I ended up contacting support via live chat and Mia refreshed my DNS records, republished my site and viola! Less than 5 minutes and everything is working now. You may want to give that try.  Good luck!
