Hi there @Candleco - the This store is not yet accepting payments message typically appears when there is an SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate error. SSL is enabled for you by default the first time you publish your website, so you shouldn't need to do anything extra here.

It does, however, take some time to get the SSL up and running on a custom domain name. If you do have a custom domain name, please note that it may take 24 to 48 hours before your site appears normally and securely when searching that domain in a browser. For more details, see our guide here.

If you're still running into a bit of trouble, please ensure that you have followed both Step 1 and Step 2 of this guide to connecting your domain to your Square Online website. Missing the second step is a common mistake I've seen again and again, and will definitely cause some issues.

Definitely reach back out here if you still have concerns - we're happy to take a deeper dive!

Hello,

My site is also saying that it is not yet accepting payments, I feel like I’ve tried everything to fix it. I’ve gone into setting and activated the site to accept payments, I’m not using a custom domain, and I’ve gone through and set up all of my personal information, taxes, shipping, etc., I’m not sure why I still can’t accept payments.

thanks!

I've been waiting for a while now. It's seems like it's been over 4 days. Is there some way I check where I am in the process?

Hi,

My site is published and my domain has been transferred (www.andyscuts.com).  My site still says we are not yet accepting payments.

No.  I don't know about the 20% 30% issue.  I'm not sure what that is.  I get through my page when I type www.andyscuts.com but when I refresh the page, it says "the connection is not private" error.  I did read about SSL and Square offers that with the upgrade purchase.  Also, I deleted some IP Address that was already on there, thinking it was the cause of the problem.  (I'm not sure if that's why the 20% 30% is not working)  I took a picture of it so I can always put it back.  I also turned on DNSSEC because I read that we needed to.  Correct me if any of these things were wrong

Thanks for your reply @AndyT!

I would suggest that you disable DNSSEC because that currently will prevent issuing an SSL certificate. Your domain is pointed to us fine otherwise, though. Once you turn that off, you should give it a few hours for the change to propagate, then un-publish your site with the option in Website > General Settings, then publish again. That should trigger issuing a new certificate.

Does that make sense? Let me know!

Thank you.  I'll try this and will get back to up with an update in a couple hours.

Hello Isabella,

I am having a similar issue. I have a custom domain. I thought I pointed it at my Weebly website. When you go to the site thepaintingvibe.com the site is visible, but I am receiving the notice that I am not accepting payments currently.

Any help you could provide resolving this would be awesome! I made sure that my setting is toggled to accepting online orders.

Hello,

On my website it says that "This store is not yet accepting payments." Is there a way that you can check to see why this is?

Thank you,

This reply was created from merging an existing thread: Why does my store say: This store is not yet accepting payments.

My square store was working just fine until something went wrong it just started saying "This store is not yet accepting payments." For all my products, what do I do?

Hi there @xFlezZ - I've moved your post into this thread where I provided a response to this frequently asked question, that should shine a light on what you're seeing. Please ensure that you have followed both Step 1 and 2 of the guide I linked in my Best Answer here, and things should fall into place!

So my website has been set up for some time now.  At one point we were able to take orders online, but the last couple of months after a few content updates it shows the "not taking payments right now" message.  How do I fix this?

I set up the site yesterday.  It worked yesterday, and accepted payments yesterday.  Today, however, it says that this site is not yet accepting payments.  I am so confused.  THIS IS NOT AN EASY THING TO DO...... I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE EASY SINCE WE HAVE BEEN USING SQUARE FOR SEVERAL YEARS!
