Hello @amyrick6 thanks for your post. Here is some info I found on the IRS website.
"The gross amount of a reportable payment does not include any adjustments for credits, cash equivalents, discount amounts, fees, refunded amounts, or any other amounts."
So your Gross line in your Square report does not take into account discounts or returns. If you look farther down your report you'll see those line items which should reduce the Gross amount to your net sales. Does your 1099 form amount match any other line amount in your Square report? For example, does it match your Gross amount if you also minus any discounts you offered last year?
