I was just wondering if anyone knows what the "magic sauce" is in the Socket brand Bluetooth barcode scanners that makes them the only ones compatible with Square? We have a very nice, robust Bluetooth scanner from Inateck that has a design and price we prefer over the Socket one. Yet, it only a "little bit" works with Square. It will put the UPC numbers into certain fields when we scan with it, but won't work when we just try to ring something up.
Anyway, I wish we could use other barcode scanners that we prefer. These devices are usually pretty straightforward I wouldn't think they need to be one particular brand.
