Why do employees have an option to clock into a different location than what they are scheduled at

Hi all! 

I have 4 locations that my employees are moved around to and I use Square for scheduling, clocking in/out (Teams app) and payroll. When I make the schedule for my employees I assign them to a specific location (which I can do easily in Shifts) but when they go to clock in some of them are clocking into the wrong location so my labor/sales reports are not accurate. I then have to go into Workday and make sure that all of the locations are correct before running reports and/or payroll. 

 

Is there a way to lock the location so that when my employees clock in on the Teams App the system automatically clocks them in to the location that I assigned them on the schedule? Or will they have to continue to manually choose the location before they clock in?

Hello @SmokinZBBQ thanks for reaching out, happy to help. That should not be happening, when I tested this with my demo account I did not run into this. I would make sure under the actual Team section, not Payroll that employees are set up to specific locations you want. If you are still running into this issue then please reach out to Customer Support 1-855-700-6000 squ.re/contactsqsupport so they can impersonate your Dashboard and can take more of a deeper dive than we can on community.
