Using USB printer with Android tablet

I'm currently using just an Android tablet to process Square transactions. I would like to eventually get the full POS setup (Square stand, iPad, receipt printer, cash drawer, bar code scanner) but simply cannot afford to get everything all at once.

I would like to upgrade my POS setup one piece at a time, as funds become available. The first step I think I'd want is a USB receipt printer, as that would immediately add the most new functionality.

But will the USB printer work if I just connect it to the Android Square POS app via the micro USB connection on my tablet? I suspect it would since the Square website sells an Android tablet setup, but it would be nice to hear confirmation from anyone who has actually done this. (Or confirmation from a Square rep that this should work.) Thanks!

I just found this page on the Square website that seems to answer my question. Basically, certain models of the hardware should work as long as the Android device in question supports USB on-the-go (OTG) adapters:

I'm glad you were able to find this article in our Support Center @DaoDeJing, thanks for commenting and updating your first post. 

Hopefully another seller can share any tips and advice about adding more hardware but a receipt printer is a great start! 🙌

Will a USB printer work with a galaxy Tab 10.1 and the square app?  If so will the app recognize the printer and offer a printed receipt as an option?
