Syncing unavailable items between online and mobile Square

When I sell an item, I mark it as "unavailable" in the online store as I want to retain an inventory of items I have sold. Since that status doesn't sync to the mobile version of my store, I am afraid someone will purchase them from the mobile app. If I delete them from the mobile store, I am afraid they will be deleted from my online store. How do others handle this?
