Setting multiple orders for same item to "ready" at the same time?

We sell items for the club fundraising. Usually we get pre-orders from the members and then put in a large single order with the supplier.

When we get the pre-order delivered I'd like to be able to set all the orders for that item (hats for example) from "pending" to "ready" without having to go through 100+ orders individually.

Is there a way to do this?

Hey @Aberminirfc, thanks for your post and welcome to the Seller Community. 

 

When your preorders arrive through to you, you are marking them as 'ready' - are you ready to ship/deliver them too? 

 

From your Square Dashboard, you can mark multiple orders as complete at once with our bulk editing tool.

Hi,

 

I've looked at the Bulk actions options and there are two problems:

 

1 - you can't sort or filter by the order item type - so if we have hats and gloves ordered but only the hats come in we can't select just the hats.

2 - the option for bulk actions is only to "complete" which means you skip the "ready" step and i'm not sure it would send the auto email and we wouldn't be able to tell the difference between those "ready" for collection and those "completed" the collection.

Hi @Aberminirfc, Emma here stepping in for @Breffni! Thanks for the details.

 

Filtering orders by item will be a feature request. We are constantly improving our products based on feedback like this, so I will share your feedback with the Product team.

 

In regards to order status, Complete means the order has been collected/shipped and there is no action needed from you or your customer. Ready will send out a notification to inform your customer that their order is ready for pick-up. You can watch this video and read more in our Support center about different order statuses.

Thanks for the reply.

 

I understadn what the order status is - it is just that the bulk action options are limited to "Mark as complete" there is no option to "Mark as ready" which is a big issue for those of us who want to bulk mark items as ready.
