Hi. We have recently started using Square so learning as we go along..
We have a small shop that promotes local creatives and artists, selling their creations and art work. We run this mainly on a โsale or returnโ basis meaning we do not own the stock. When it comes to the end of the month I run a report showing what has been sold (have been using izettle) and then go into our accounts package and create a PO so that I can let them know what has been sold. Is there a way to create a PO based on what has been actually sold?
Thanks,
Jason

Hey @Ethellovesme, thanks for sharing this!
At the moment, there isn't a way to create a purchase order based on what has been sold; you can only create a purchase order for what you are expected to receive at a future date.
However, you should be able to create a report showing all the items that have been sold and the quantity sold for each item from your Square Dashboard. You can do this from Reports > Item Sales. If needed, you can also export the report into a CSV file.

Hi Tra.
Thanks for the reply and I have looked at reports to download the sales which is what I currently do with iZettle. I was just hoping I could create a report for each individual creative and send over what had been sold.
Would it be possible to suggest a future addition to the Square software to allow this option, I assume I am not alone in having products on a 'sale or return' basis.
Thanks for your help,
Jason

Thanks for letting me know @Ethellovesme! And I can definitely share this to the team as a feature request to be added in the future.
Another thing that might help in the meantime - would each individual creative have more than one items on sale? If so, we can potentially set the creative as an item category. With the Item Sales report, you can filter the reports by item category and create individualised report that one. It's a bit more cumbersome but still worth trying!

Hi @tranguyen .
Thanks for the information and hope they look at this as an option.
Our creatives have lots of different products and we use categories to break the products down so not sure that would work. We put a vendor in for each creative and link the products to them so will see if I can find a vendor sales report. Other than this we are finding Square is working well for us and appreciate your help.
All the best,
Jason
