I made a sale but then a few hours later, the customer called and requested a refund. I issued the refund. Will the original amount I charged them be taken out of their credit card and then refunded? OR because I refunded the transaction within a few hours, the entire thing is just voided out and I don't need to worry about it anymore?
This transaction was on a Friday, Monday was a holiday but nothing has showed up in my deposits as of today (Tuesday).
I'm new to Square and any help is appreciated. I searched the FAQ but did not see the answer to this.

the amount of the transaction will be refunded to your customer's card and the Square fees will be refunded to your account. the transaction will still exist it will just be refunded.
