Other independent businesses using my card reader?
Hello,
I just joined a group of 6 independent artists. Our art is sold at a small gallery and we each have our own Square Card Reader.
Each artist takes her turn, twice a week, to mind the shop.
Here’s my concern: The artist minding the shop runs ALL credit card purchases on her own business card reader then writes a check to the artist in the amount of purchase.
I am concerned because at the end of the year, the income from sales that Square reports on 1099k to the IRS will be inaccurate.
I’m the new one to the group and the others do not share my concern.
Please advise

Congrats on your first post @Stymon!
Not to worry, our readers aren't tied to an account. As long as your artists are signed into your account when processing payments, all funds will funnel into your bank account and reflect in reports regardless of the reader or device used. Same goes for your 1099k form.
Hope I answered your question. Let me know if you need me to explain more.
